Golf Performance

Golf Performance (Oxford Only)

The TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) provides certification to medical, performance training, and golf professionals to learn more about common golf swing faults, physical impairments related to these faults, and how to correct them. Physical therapists are already body movement experts by trade who can provide evaluation, education on physical impairments, and specific targeted exercises in a variety of patient populations. In combination with TPI training, a physical therapist is the perfect person to help the avid golfer improve the physical side of their game!

Physical Screen to thoroughly examine and evaluate body mechanics correlated to the golf swing. The therapist will determine specific areas in which the golfer may need more mobility, stability, and/or strength to develop an efficient swing. The initial evaluation will include a detailed history and physical assessment, a video analysis of the golf swing in relation to the results of the physical screen, and specific exercises/stretches to improve deficiencies found during the physical screen. Note – TPI Initial Evaluation does not include golf swing-specific instruction, just a breakdown of the physical components needed for an efficient swing!

TPI Initial Evaluation with Physical Screen: $125

TPI Follow-Up: $75/session, $200 for 3 sessions

During follow-up sessions, the therapist will add more exercises to the workout program, review and progress exercises provided at the initial evaluation, and re-evaluate specific areas of concern from the initial evaluation.
