Dr. James Picard, DPT, PT
(Physical Therapist)
James is a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where he obtained Bachelor degrees in health sciences and biology as well as his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He has been in clinical practice in outpatient orthopedics since 2020. James loves the field of physical therapy and how it enables him to meet new faces of all ages and backgrounds from his home state of Rhode Island. He enjoys educating his patients about their health conditions and developing individualized treatment plans to help facilitate their return to moving well in day to day life as well as returning to their favorite pastimes and hobbies. James works with patients with various orthopedic ailments as well as those affected by concussions and different vestibular conditions. He loves empowering his patients by helping them to gain a greater understanding of their conditions, self management strategies, and the power of healthy lifestyle choices. He is certified in upper and lower extremity dry needling.
Outside of the clinic, he loves spending time with his wife Sarah, his family, and friends. He enjoys chess, pickleball, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, supporting Barcelona Football Club, and hiking with his dog Indiana.
